My journey began as a bilingual medical student, where I developed a deep understanding of medical terminology and clinical processes. After graduation, I worked with Mexico’s first Continuing Medical Education website, translating international medical news and staying connected to the pulse of global healthcare advancements.

As a medical practitioner serving multicultural and multilingual communities in Mexico, I witnessed firsthand the importance of cultural humility and competence in patient care. These experiences shaped my belief that communication—when done with accuracy and empathy—can transform healthcare outcomes.

Since becoming a Certified Medical Interpreter in the U.S. in 2014, I’ve provided accurate and confidential interpretation across hospitals and community health settings. My work has included surgical and medical procedures, informed consent, treatment plans, medication education, follow-up visits, and discharge instructions. I remain committed to upholding patient confidentiality and the National Standards of Practice for Interpreters in Healthcare.

More recently, as a cultural broker with my local public health agency, I helped bridge gaps between Spanish-speaking communities and COVID-19 emergency response teams. I supported public understanding of preventive measures, vaccine safety, and access to care, while also promoting mental health awareness and connecting individuals with critical local and national resources.

Today, I am pursuing a Master’s in Healthcare Organizations Management to deepen my ability to foster regulatory compliance, leadership, and high-quality patient-centered care. Each chapter of my career reflects one constant: my dedication to ensuring that every voice in healthcare is heard, respected, and understood.
